Green Energy Management

Cuisine Karo has made good energy management a priority, and this has even had an impact on the design of our new plant in Terrebonne, which comprises a central kitchen and an elaborate drain water heat recovery system, among others intelligent features. We also apply energy efficiency principles in all our actions, big or small, every day.

 

Recycling of our used cooking oils and fats

All of our used cooking oils and fats are recuperated by Sanimax, an established company that is specialized in rendering food products. They transform the oils and fats to give them new life as as vital ingredients in lubricants, animal feed, and even clean-burning biofuel.

 

Knowledge and actions

Respect of the environment is an integral part of our business culture. In fact, we believe it should be a way of life! All our employees are sensitized to the cause, and everything in their work environment and job tasks is geared toward consciencious actions. We also encourage our clientele to help us by suggesting better procedures.
